INTAKE PROCEDURE FOR PSYCHOTHERAPY TREATMENT
In the first interview of patients seeking psychotherapy treatment for depression, schizophrenia and other mental illness, there is a detailed taking of history with the patient and family. If staff feel the patient can be helped to function better, regardless of the mental illness, a diagnostic psychological test is done to assess his/her therapeutic issues. After three days of becoming acquainted with the structure of the psychotherapy treatment community, the person who wishes to stay is asked to make a contract with the whole community in which he or she promises to make sincere efforts to get well and help other members to recover from their mental illness. The community as a whole promises to accept the person and to make all efforts to help him/her become well.
